  • 12 October 2025

Bandung, October 12, 2025 — Another proud achievement was made by the students of Nizamia Andalusia School. Through their stunning performances at the prestigious 5th International Bandung Choral Festival (IBCF) 2025, the Nizamia Andalusia Choir successfully brought home two Silver Medals in two different categories: Children’s Choir and Teenager’s Choir.

The competition, organized by the Bandung Choral Society, featured dozens of choirs from across Indonesia and abroad. Held from October 9–12, 2025, in Bandung, West Java, the event showcased some of the most beautiful and technically impressive vocal performances from various talented groups.

In the Children's Choir category, Nizamia Andalusia Choir earned a score of 78.75, securing a Silver Medal. Meanwhile, in the Teenager’s Choir category, the team also delivered an outstanding performance, achieving a score of 75.55 and bringing home another Silver Medal.

This accomplishment is a true source of pride for the students and the entire Nizamia Andalusia community. Remarkably, this was the school’s first-ever participation in a choir competition—and not just any competition, but an international one, where they stood out among contestants from many schools and vocal groups around the world.

One of the choir members, Mahira, shared that she initially felt nervous before the performance, but the results made all the effort worthwhile.

"I was really nervous at first, afraid we wouldn't be as good as the other teams".

Their success did not come instantly. Every member had been training together for seven months before the festival. Another member, Devanka, shared how much effort went into their preparation.

"We practiced for seven months before the competition, so we were really well-prepared. Since this was also Nizamia’s first international competition, we wanted to give our best"

During those seven months, the team worked hard to refine their vocal harmony and strengthen their teamwork. Their dedication finally paid off, earning them two well-deserved Silver Medals.

Participating in the 5th International Bandung Choral Festival (IBCF) 2025 was an unforgettable experience for the Nizamia Andalusia Choir. Beyond the medals, the event became a valuable learning journey—helping students enhance not only their singing and musical skills but also teamwork, discipline, and appreciation of diverse musical and cultural expressions.

Their participation also reflects Nizamia Andalusia School’s vision of nurturing students who are globally minded, artistic, and accomplished.

Congratulations to all members of the Nizamia Andalusia Choir on this outstanding achievement! May this success be the first step toward even greater accomplishments in the future.
